....My little darling (!) had been driving me to the verge of madness just lately (hence not being here much) as she will not stop running off.

The routine was that I'd collect her from her classroom and she would let off steam with her friends in the playground.

Fine by me.

Then she decided that we would escort her best friend home.

Fine by me as he lives less than 5 minutes away.

BUT, on the return from her friends house she runs away and puts herself in danger. So I have to hold her wrist. That's when it isn't fine by me anymore! She has repeatedly bitten me, hit me verbally abused me and been so violently aggressive, well, you all know exactly what it's like.... Sad

So I was so fed up with the abuse and the fact that if let her go she could very well be seriously injured by a car or something, that I spoke to her new head teacher who has allowed me to collect her 5 minutes early from school.

I now have a brand new daughter!

No aggression, no violence, not a sniff of a melt-down....a happy little girl bounces up to me and I get a HUGE HUG!!!!!!! yahoo Absolutely unheard of!

It may not last.....but for now it's working and it's bloody fantastic.

Sometimes it's the smallest things that make the biggest difference.

It sure is! dance

She's such a different person at home time and in the whole evening in general that I can't help thinking that there was something more to it than just her anger at not being able to do what she wanted.

Was she putting herself at such risk to try and tell me something? To provoke me into keeping her safe???

Lord knows if that even made sense, but all I know for sure is that she is a happy relaxed little girl at hometime...Long may it continue!
