| Hi guys
Well T has an appointment to see the optician on Friday at 1.10pm and have his eyes tested. It will disrupt his playing out time wiht his friends but i have thought about using him having a McDs as a treat and maybe taking his friend who he plays with often with us, ironically he also has to wear glasses and i think it may help matters.
T is already freaking about them hurting him and we will look at eye tests all week leading up to him going, he needs it done and i have explained how important it is so he can see the board in his classes.
He again told me last night that he could not see the board in class and he actually showed me the distance from which he cannot see the board, it is about 2 meters. So from about 2 meters away he cannot see the board well enough to do his work effectively.
I asked him if he had to be moved and he told me 'no, Mrs *** had to help me' thats his 1-1 helper in class. _________________ Northern lass born & bred! |

| Fingers crossed for you both.
I've worn specs since I was 4 (blind as a bat me!) and yes it's scary, but it won't hurt a bit.
Maybe you could ask the optician if T could help out a bit? With the lens cleaning cloths or something? Just a wee bit of distraction for him? |

| Hi guys
Sorry for delay in posting but T has been in hospital with high temp, shakes and all sorts. He was sooooo lethargic and of course would not let the docs examine him properly, was told bloods were gonna be taken and then they were not, after prepping T for them as well Any how he is now home (came home yesterday) and he has a terrible cough which is all down to the viral infection they say he has.
I managed to get T to the test on friday and he did ever so well bless him and yes we have it confirmed that he is short sighted. It was amazing to see how well he could see when the optician put him lenses on during the test because before that he could not see what the letters were.
So he chose the glasses he wanted and he said he wanted rectangle frames, off he went inspecting what was on the shelves and he picked a Action Man pair they are very nice and he looks so sweet bless him.
He still is funny about them saying he looks like a geek and his friends are gonna laugh at him he is wearing them tho and all the time, he says he cannot believe how clear things are now _________________ Northern lass born & bred! |

| Aw bless him!
I can still remember the day when the world came back in to focus, so I know exactly how he feels.
All the best people wear glasses, don't you know! |
