Bless her and it seems to be so often the case that we have to create our own support & help, it was a good story and the publicity from it should create more awareness of ASDs!

I have emailed the lady who runs the group in Brighton and told her about us, we need a support group here in my area, the one that is here is as much use as a chocolate fireguard! it wont allow parents to join without a diagnosis for thier child (not good enough as some areas in the UK do!) and they only meet twice a year now! how heartbreaking that is!

I aim to have a support group for parents going through the diagnosis process (which can take yrs for some of us) and for diagnosed children and their parents/carers, along with adults on the spectrum. There is a great need for it and i intend to do something about it, we think we are alone for many yrs and we struggle for many yrs alone and that in itself can make our lives soooooooooo much harder, WE NEED SUPPORT!
