Thank you, both of you, for your kind words about my photos. It is much-appreciated. A picture can say a thousand words but sometimes a few thoughtful words are all that is needed. 
I might embed some of the better ones within the boards so you can look at them. For now though I'll carry on uploading them. Do check the photostream periodically.
My photography mostly comes from a desire to archive things. When I was younger I always loved looking at old TV idents and the like. Ephemera. The least that those who cannot work who have the necessary skills can do is to become of use, at least to someone. That said, I get stopped quite often for wanting to pursue this mode of photography. Photographers tend to be slightly off-the-wall people that are viewed with suspicion anyway. I haven't been arrested... yet. The way I look at it Costa del Bar Owner will be looking back when they're old to remind them of their memories. And it fills up my time rather nicely once you return from your break.
We all have our talents. We just have to use them to our full potential even though I think I am my very own Saint Helena sometimes. |
