I need to know

if anyone knows the full title of the freedom of information act hmm

I had a letter this morning from the people who did my assesment for work and they have told me that I need to write to another person regarding having a copy of the report they are writing and sending to my work, but at the bottom of the letter they say this person might be in a position to advise me if this is POSSIBLE.
Now as far as i'm aware that this is my right, I just need to quote the right act so I can get the report.

I have just been told that it's not the freedom of information act, it's the data protection act as it's personal details about me, where as the freedom of information act covers everything else.
bloody confusing or what?

Mmm, did wonder but I didn't want to baffle you with bullsh1t!! You seemed so sure of what you wanted, and I didn't want to confuse! Seems like someone else did that anyway!!

Data Protection Act 1998 allows you to access certain information about yourself. If you need a copy I should be able to email one up to you.

I can't advise anyone (still a bumbling student!) but I do have access to information and I'm more than willing to share it if I can...

Sorry kebab i dont know too much about this and my solicitor is on the case of obtaining info about T for me.

I will speak with him next week and see what he thinks, good luck!
